After two years of virtual conferences, I am so excited to be attending in-person the Case Management Society Annual Conference on June 1 – 4, 2022. The CMSA Annual Conference is the conference that I look most forward to each year as it is the one conference that celebrates the work that I do – that I love – and that is the most rewarding role I have has as a nurse.
This year marks the 32nd Annual Conference. This is the event that brings together case managers from various setting to to learn, network, share ideas and look at where we are and where we are going as the industry changes.
With COVID, we have not been able to meet in person since 2019. CMSA did hold virtual events, which allowed us to stay connected when it was not safe to meet. Not being together has taken its toll on each of us. Nothing can compare to meeting in-person and having a conversation with colleague, old friends, and new acquaintances that we have met either telephonically or virtually.
Being present in 2022 will be an exhilarating experience for those who can attend. The world has changed since COVID impacted the world. The pandemic opened our eyes to the strength and the inadequacies of our healthcare system and the role we (case/care managers) play. Attending the national conference will allow us to take the pulse of our industry and reset the goals and expectations of a complex, costly, and sometimes unsafe healthcare system.
I will be presenting a few sessions at the conference so please look for me and let me know how you are doing and what is happening in your world.
I would love to hear your thoughts, your challenges, and how we can work together to be the change that WE want to see in our healthcare system.
I will also be covering the conference on social media. Check me out at the following social media sites
