I recently came across an interesting post on LinkedIn. The post announced that this was “Stress Less Week.” I had never heard of this week, so I dug deeper and found that ‘Stress Less Week’ is a biannual event hosted by Active Minds at colleges and universities across the United States.
The event aims to create a supportive and healthy campus environment for young adults by normalizing conversations about mental health. It also aims to raise awareness about stress and anxiety and develop communities where speaking up about struggles is a sign of strength and self-awareness.
‘Stress Less Week’ is a good idea in today’s hectic world. Disruption is everywhere: on college campuses, in our work settings, and in our homes. Taking time to destress is something that we all need to do from time to time for our health and wellness.
How do you handle/decrease stress in your life? Please share your answer so we can learn from each other!

Hi Anne,
This is a great reminder to take the time and mitigate the effects of stress. Better yet, find an activity you enjoy: run, swim, take your dog out for a walk, yoga, meditation, dance; whatever tickles your imagination and just do it daily to avoid the stress multipliers.
We all need to SLOW DOWN, which will help with destressing!
