I hope you are doing well and keeping busy. In this week’s post, I wanted to ‘catch you up’ on a few things that I have been doing. Take a minute to read the post and click on links throughout the posts. Feel free to share the information with your family, friends and colleagues might find useful.

  1. I have been writing my Blog, Nurse Advocate for 7 years in July. It has been a wonderful experience, but the best part is reading your comments that help me see that I provide information that is helpful to YOU, my readers. To view my Blog Posts, you can visit the website where they are all located here. At the bottom of the page, you will see older posts, just click that to read past posts!
  2. A few months ago, I started doing podcasts with Ginger Irving, Principle of My Care Alliance. We are building a library of discussions on timely topics for professionals in ‘the helping professions’ such as case management, patient/health advocacy, and patient experience professionals. Take a few minutes to listen to them here. Once you do, feel free to share the link with your family, friends and colleagues. Bookmark the link so you can check back often!
  3. I have had a great time being the Director of Client Services with Athena Forum Institute this past year. As part of my role, I have put together a monthly webinar series call Issues and Answers. The series is growing with topics that impact professionals involved in case management across the continuum. You can listen to them at no cost by going clicking here. Let me know what you think of them and if you have suggestions for going future program.
  4. This year, I have been on the editorial board of the Case Management Society of America. We have built a Body of Knowledge for professionals involved in case management. To view the current as well as the past issues, click here.

Next week, I will send out my Annual Summer Reading List. I have gotten some great suggestions from family and friends, and I am looking forward to sharing it with you! Once that post is sent, I am going to take a few weeks off to see family and recharge my batteries!

Have a good week!
