When I started writing my Blog, Nurse Advocate, in 2016, I said I wanted to accomplish three things:

  1. To educate people ( and caregivers) on how to be their own best advocates when they are thrust into the complex healthcare system
  2. To educate healthcare professionals to understand how hard it is for people to be ‘patients’ and to encourage them to do their best to use their skills to improve the delivery of care
  3. I want to be recognized for my writings by my peers and readers of my blog, Nurse Advocate.

I have been true to these goals over the years and am grateful for those who have recognized my work and followed me for the information I shared.

I am excited to share my latest award, the 2024 Apex Award. The APEX Awards are based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content, and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence. APEX Grand Awards honor outstanding works in each main category, while APEX Awards of Excellence recognize exceptional entries in each subcategory.

The competition was exceptionally intense, with more than 1,100 entries. 100 Grand Awards were presented to honor outstanding work in 13 major categories, and 439 Awards of Excellence recognize exceptional entries in 100 subcategories. The APEX Awards attract many excellent entries.

I was recognized in the category of Writing / Topics – Health & Medical Writing Case Management Focus: A New Column in Workers Compensation.com. An e-newsletter for the workers’ compensation nurses, adjustors, and other stakeholders who make their living in the workers’ compensation industry. Here is a link to review my articles. Please check them out. https://www.workerscompensation.com/tag/case-management

Please visit my website to see my other works in the resource section. All of these items are free and can help you improve your practice. Here is a link to review the offerings. https://nursesadvocates.com/resources

Feel free to download any of them and share them with your colleagues who can benefit.
